The London Pride Run 10K is a race for everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender or sexuality.

2008 is the 5th annual run and the London Pride Run has become one of the UK’s major gay & lesbian sports events. This certified 10km run is expected to draw up to 800 runners. The race will take place off-road in East London’s Victoria Park.

The race starts at 11.00am on Saturday 16th August.

London Pride Run Workplace Champions As part of the London Pride Run, teams of 3 employees working for the same company, organisation or financial institution are invited to compete for the title of London Pride Run Workplace Champions. This is an ideal opportunity for participating organisations to use the race as a platform to promote both diversity and fitness in the work place. Runners have the extra benefit of competing with their colleagues in a fun and social atmosphere and will help to raise vital money for our chosen charity, Stonewall.

The London Pride Run is grateful for the support of our main sponsor Merrill Lynch [www.ml.com]

This year the London Pride Run is pleased to announce that the run will benefit the UK based charity Stonewall, [www.stonewall.org.uk] that works for equality and justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. We are supporting Stonewall’s Workplace initiative and Diversity Champions programme. This initiative gives the opportunity for organisations to improve their business by being gay-friendly and making gay people part of their business success. Stonewall and the London Pride Run recognise that people perform better when they can be themselves.

The run is organised by London Frontrunners, a gay and lesbian running club. Whether you want to start running, improve your fitness, train for the London Pride Run or simply meet new friends, London Frontrunners allows you to join a diverse group of lesbians and gay men who love to run. You can find a guide to regular runs, training events and a wide range of social activities at www.londonfrontrunners.org.
